CMS finalizes rule matching Medicaid, Medicare rates for primary care

Family practitioners, internists and pediatricians will receive significant Medicaid payment increases beginning Jan. 1 under a CMS final rule published Nov. 6 in the Federal Register. But the likelihood that you’ll open your doors to more Medicaid patients will be impeded by CMS’ two-year limit on the increase, experts believe.
