CPT 2012 first look: Big skin graft coding changes, more bundled services
The way you code skin grafts, arthroscopic shoulder and knee surgeries, lung surgeries, cardiac device implants, and immunizations will change next year, according to the downloadable CPT 2012 code set released recently online by the AMA.
In total, you’ll be using 218 new Category I CPT codes and 133 revised codes. Some 96 CPT codes have been deleted for next year. All code changes take effect Jan. 1, 2012.
