New coding guidance: 2026 CPT code preview – Part I

The much-anticipated permanent code for percutaneous image-guided lumbar decompression will go into effect Jan. 1, 2026, and Medicare plans to cover the service. The procedure, often known by the trademarked name mild™ is currently reported with temporary code 0275T.
