PQRS Update: Be Sure You're in the Loop on These New Remittance Codes for PQRS Claims

Add a nominal charge for reporting PQRS codes on your claims. CMS recently announced that it is adding two new Medicare remittance codes that will indicate that your Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) codes are valid for 2014. Beginning April 1, ED groups submitting claims as part of their PQRS participation for 2014 will receive either N620 (This procedure code is for quality reporting/informational purposes only) or CO 246 N572 (This non-payable code is for required reporting only) denial codes on their explanation of benefits (EOB) forms.  Details: Code N620 will appear for quality data control (QDC) line...
