Question: I’m starting to see mention of use of a product called WoundSeal in my ED charts. Would you consider WoundSeal a tissue adhesive similar to Dermabond and therefore a billable service? Oklahoma Subscriber Answer: WoundSeal is not an adhesive technically, but rather an occlusive. It is an over-the-counter product that when applied quickly stops bleeding by forming an occlusive seal.
