Rehab: Medicare Seeing Vision Demo Through

Project will give rehab pros more equity. Later this year, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services starts an extended focus on vision rehab providers who are not necessarily occupational or physical therapists. CMS is launching a demonstration project to allow "vision rehabilitation professionals" to provide the same services to treat vision impairment that Medicare covers when provided by an occupational or physical therapist.
