CY2024 Changes to Medicare's Inpatient Only List

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) continues to update annually the Inpatient Only List (IPO). CMS’ IPO list identifies procedures/services for which Medicare will only reimburse for the procedure or service when it is performed in the inpatient setting. For CY2024, CMS determined no codes met the criteria for removal off the list. However, ten codes were added.
