A patient was admitted after becoming unresponsive at home and was diagnosed with a left middle cerebral artery (MCA) embolic stroke. The patient had a mechanical thrombectomy performed along with an angiogram with stem-cell infusion into the MCA. A stem cell solution was administered via microcatheter that was advanced over a guidewire into the MCA and parked just distal to the lenticulostriate arteries.
