Spring 1994 pages 24-29 Cardiac Catheterization Services Introduction The CPT Editorial Panel has adopted a new method of coding cardiac catheterization services for CPT 1994. This revision is a major departure from the prior method of coding that relied on the use of combination codes to describe catheterization services and separate radiologic supervision and interpretation codes to describe interpretation of angiographic images. The new coding method for cardiac catheterization will follow to some degree the format used for coding of interventional radiology procedures.
