March 2009 page 11-end Coding Clarification:Correction In the November 2008 issue of CPT Assistant, on page 5 of the article entitled Pulmonary Procedures-Codes 94720 vs 94725, an error was made. In the subheading "How DLCO is Measured" the first two sentences are incorrect and should be eliminated. The paragraph should read as follows: To perform the DLCO procedure, the patient is placed in a seated position and exhales to residual volume (RV), then rapidly inhales a mixture of 0.3% carbon monoxide (CO), air, and a tracer gas.
