AMA Comment Code 67916, Repair of ectropion; excision tarsal wedge, was revised for CPT 2004 to reflect surgical repair of ectropion and not blepharoplasty. The term blepharoplasty was omitted from the descriptor since the blepharoplasty is synonymous with reduction of orbital fat prolapse and redundant skin around the orbit.
