AMA Comment Code 92543, Caloric vestibular test, each irrigation (binaural, bithermal stimulation constitutes four tests), with recording, specifically describes irrigation (ie, use of water). Therefore, it would not be appropriate to report code 92543 for caloric vestibular testing using air.
