AMA Comment As stated in the CPT guidelines for audiologic function tests, “All descriptors refer to testing both ears. Use the modifier 52 if a test is applied to one ear instead of two ears.” Therefore, if only one ear is tested, then code 92568, Acoustic reflex testing, would be reported appended by modifier 52, Reduced services.
