July 2022 pages 8-11 New Category III Tricuspid Valve Implantation Replacement Code (0646T) For the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT®) 2022 code set, a new Category III code (0646T) was established as part of a new subsection titled “Tricuspid Valve Implantation/Replacement” to report transcatheter tricuspid valve implantation (TTVI) and replacement with a prosthetic valve. New guidelines were added, as well as several exclusionary and cross-reference parenthetical notes to provide instruction on the appropriate reporting of this procedure.
