June 2023 pages 21-24 Radiofrequency Destruction of Pulmonary Nerves (0781T, 0782T) Two new Category III codes (0781T, 0782T) were created for the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT®) 2023 code set to report bronchoscopy that includes circumferential radiofrequency (RF) destruction of the pulmonary nerves in the bronchi. This procedure may be performed bilaterally in the mainstem bronchi (0781T) or unilaterally in one bronchus (0782T) and includes fluoroscopic imaging guidance when performed.
