Question
How should I report a voiding pressure study and an intraabdominal voiding pressure test?
AMA Comment
If a voiding pressure study and an intra-abdominal voiding pressure test are both separately performed, then both codes 51795, Voiding pressure studies (VP); bladder voiding pressure, any technique, and 51797, intra-abdominal voiding pressure (AP) (rectal, gastric, intraperitoneal), may be reported to identify the two procedures performed. A separate report and interpretation should also be provided for these services.
