The CPT 2023 code set states that add-on code 93609 can be reported with code 93653. Would it be appropriate to report code 93609 when three-dimensional (3D) mapping is performed as part of the procedure represented by code 93653 and, in addition, point-to-point mapping is performed, meeting the definition of code 93609? The portions of the procedure represented by code 93609 would be performed separately from the portions represented by code 93653.
