With regards to Transitional Care Management Services and within the code descriptors for CPT codes 99495 and 99496, what is meant by "direct contact"? Does "electronic" include the use of a digital assistant, (eg, Siri, Alexa, chat bots), as a substitute for the direct contact activity requirement of physicians, qualified health care professionals, and/or licensed clinical staff under their direction?
