New CPT vaccination code for COVID-19

The American Medical Association (AMA) has announced the release of immunization and administration codes for another new vaccine for COVID-19. The codes for the two-dose Novavax COVID-19 vaccine were released on May 4th, 2021. The newly released codes will be effective upon the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issuing an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA). The codes representing this new vaccine will be in addition to the codes released for the two dose COVID-19 vaccines developed by Pfizer, Moderna, and AstraZeneca, and the one dose vaccine developed by Janssen Pharmaceutica (a division of Johnson & Johnson).The new codes for...
