Retained cataract fragments and Elschnig pearls

Patient with retained cataract fragments and Elschnig pearls presents for fragment removal, iridectomy and capsulotomy of the left eye. A paracentesis was performed and the anterior chamber was inflated with viscoelastic material. The pupil was enlarged with iris hooks and by freeing the iris attachment. A vitrector was inserted through the additional paracentesis and the particles were removed from the intraocular lens.
