In Memoriam: Dr. John D. Cooper, Jr.
Dr. John D. Cooper, Jr., tragically died September 9, 2013, after a car accident. Dr. Cooper was an anesthesiologist and served as a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Public Health Service detailed as a medical officer to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in Baltimore. He was a valued member of the CMS staff participating in the AHA Coding Clinic for ICD-9-CM Editorial Advisory Board.
