June 2022 pages 11-15 Anesthesia Updates in CPT® 2022 For the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT®) 2022 code set, important updates were made to the Anesthesia section of codes. In total, six new codes were added and two codes were deleted. The new codes constitute a family of anatomy-specific anesthesia services for image-guided procedures, enabling greater specificity in the reporting of cervical or thoracic and lumbar or sacral anesthesia.
