This article will give a brief definition of glaucoma before explaining the endoscopic photocoagulation of the ciliary body technique. Stedman's Medical Dictionary defines glaucoma as "a disease of the eye characterized by increased intraocular pressure and excavation and atrophy of the eye characterized by increased intraocular pressure and excavation and atrophy of the optic nerve.
