Question
At the time of a circumcision procedure, if a nerve block is also performed by the surgeon for anesthetic purposes, can this be coded in addition to codes 54150 and 54152?

From a CPT coding perspective, if regional or general anesthesia is provided by the surgeon in support of a procedure, the code for the procedure should be reported with modifier -47, Anesthesia by surgeon, appended. Therefore, if a surgeon performs a regional nerve block prior to performing a circumcision procedure...
