When referencing “Complication, joint prosthesis, internal, malposition,” in the ICD-10-CM Alphabetic Index, there is an instruction to “see Complications, joint prosthesis, mechanical, displacement.” This instruction leads to subcategory T84.02, Dislocation of internal joint prosthesis.
