Would it be appropriate to report 65420 and 68320? Is the conjunctival rearrangement included in 65420? Answer: If, based on the clinical judgment of the surgeon, the conjunctival rearrangement is substantial, it would not be considered inclusive of the procedure described by code 65420, Excision or transposition of pterygium; without graft. Therefore, in the event the conjunctival rearrangement is substantial, then code 68320, Conjunctivoplasty; with conjunctival graft or extensive rearrangement, is separately reportable.
