Q&A: It’s a payer call whether abductor repair can be billed with a THA

Question: We have a new surgeon questioning the coding for an abductor repair when done with a total hip arthroplasty (THA). I am having a difficult time finding something in writing to present to him. Does AAOS mention in CodeX whether the abductor repair would be included in the THA?
