Note: As of October 1, 2005, a new code was created for Endovascular implantation of graft in thoracic aorta (39.73). Prior to October 1, 2000, there was no ICD-9-CM procedure code, which uniquely reflected the percutaneous deployment of endoluminal grafts for the repair of aneurysms. New codes have been created for the endovascular repair of abdominal aortic aneurysm (39.71), and for the endovascular implantation of graft in other arteries, including lower extremity arteries, thoracic aorta, and upper extremity arteries (39.79).
