2016 salary survey: Take on new specialties, tasks with care

As this report has noted, the daily duties of most respondents involve services for anesthesia and at least one other specialty. It is logical to assume the more specialties an administrative professional works with, the more she will earn. The chart titled “Average anesthesia administrative staff salary — number of specialties” in this month’s Physician TipSheet shows this is not the case. Administrative staff who work with anesthesia and 15 or more additional specialties had the lowest average salaries, but those who work only with anesthesia had the second lowest salaries.
