2023 E/M Prolonged Service Revisions (November 2022)

November 2022 pages 1-7 2023 E/M Prolonged Service Revisions For the Evaluation and Management (E/M) Services section of the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT®) 2023 code set, prolonged services codes have been substantially revised. Code 99417 (revised for 2023) and code 99418 (new for 2023) replace prolonged services codes 99354-99357 (deleted for 2023). In addition, numerous other prolonged services codes have been deleted and replaced with new instructions to report code 99417 or code 99418 as appropriate.
