ALERT: New ICD-10-CM Chapter 22

A new ICD-10-CM chapter, Chapter 22, has been released in draft form for review and comment. If approved these codes will go into effect on December 21st, 2012.

These new codes will be especially helpful given the historic events that may occur later this year.

Unidentified sources have suggested that the creation and approval of these additional codes may have contributed to the delay of the ICD-10 implementation.

Please review these new codes and send your comments and recommendations through the usual channels.
