New DRG Grouping data!

We're pleased to announce expanded DRG grouping data for subscribers with the Hospital/Facility product. This update includes the data needed to perform DRG Grouping, including:
  • MDCs now list DRGs according to Surgical/Medical groups and priority
  • MDCs also list ICD9 codes that qualify for assignment
  • CC/MCC icons have been added to applicable ICD9 codes
  • A new "DRG Grouper Logic" section has been added to all pages from the following code sets:
  • ICD9:
    • MDC Lookup
    • DRG Lookup
    • Complication/Comorbidity (CC) Information, including CC exclusions
  • ICD9v3:
    • DRG Lookup
  • DRG:
    • Logic tables for DRG assignment
    • ICD9 codes for each condition in the logic table
To help you get more comfortable with DRG grouping, we've also created a DRG Grouper How-To with instructions and screenshots.
