This flap can be transferred based on the muscle's nutrient artery and veins. In the case of the TRAM flap, a large portion of lower abdominal tissue, including an entire rectus abdominis muscle, can be transferred to the chest after completely detaching these structures, leaving only a pedicle of the deep superior epigastric blood vessels...
