AMA Comment The appropriate method of reporting excision of ischial ulcer without ostectomy is with code 15946, Excision, ischial pressure ulcer, with ostectomy, in preparation for muscle or myocutaneous flap or skin graft closure, with modifier -52, Reduced services, appended to indicate that the procedure was not performed in its entirety as described by the code descriptor.
