AMA Comment Based on the guidelines in the chemotherapy administration subsection of the CPT Book, medications (eg, antibiotics, steridal agents, antiemetics, narcotics, analgesics, biological agents) administered independently or sequentially as supportive management of chemotherapy administration, should be separately reported with codes 90780-90788, as appropriate.
