November 2003 pages 5-7 Coding Communication:New Category III Codes In CPT 2003, 18 Category III codes were added. Additions include new codes to report endoscopic lysis of epidural adhesions; dual energy x-ray absorptiometry; treatment for incontinence; antiprothrombin antibody; speculoscopy; endovascular thoracic aneurysm repair; urinalysis detection; cerebral perfusion analysis; carbon monoxide gas analysis; and whole body integumentary photography. The most significant of the additions were the eight new codes for reporting procedures related to thoracic aortic aneurysm repair (0033T-0040T).
