Since 1996, the procedure has been reported with Current Procedural Terminology (CPT®) code 92275, Electroretinography with interpretation and report. However, as technology has advanced, the means and methods to perform electroretinography have changed. In order to reflect these changes in methodology, existing code 92275 was deleted and replaced with two new Medicine codes (92273, 92274) and one Category III code (0509T) in the CPT 2019 code set.
