Is it appropriate to report code 45334, Sigmoidoscopy, flexible; with control of bleeding (eg, injection, bipolar cautery, unipolar cautery, laser, heater probe, stapler, plasma coagulator), to describe the procedure performed? If not, what is the appropriate code? AMA Comment It would be inappropriate to report code 45334 because any control of iatrogenically caused bleeding is included in the procedure. Therefore...
