Do I still use this code to report the placement of the fiducial markers in the prostate transrectally? Answer: Yes. Report code 55876, Placement of interstitial device(s) for radiation therapy guidance (eg, fiducial markers, dosimeter), percutaneous, prostate, single or multiple, even though the descriptor states percutaneous.
