The patient exercises for 1 minute and hemodynamic measurements are taken before and after the exercise. The catheter is repositioned following the exercise. Can the postexercise catheter repositioning and hemodynamic measurements be separately reported? AMA Comment From a CPT coding perspective, cardiac catheterization includes positioning and repositioning of catheter(s), as well as recording of intracardiac and intravascular pressure.
